Excuse us while we re-decorate our place to look exactly like these stunning cosy homes.

There's something innately comforting about a rustic farmhouse, and when we stumbled upon the beautifully-curated feeds of the following homesteads we found ourselves in a black hole of dried leaves, weatherboards, and vintage treasures.

If you're looking for some interior inspiration for your own place or simply want to live vicariously through the owners of these gorgeous cottages, set aside a couple of hours to discover all of the rustic farmhouse goodness in their galleries.

1. @the_estate_trentham

Designed and run by none other than Lynda Gardener who has featured in our Makers series, The Estate Trentham is the pinnacle of rustic Australiana. The dedicated Instagram account for the property is as photoshoot-ready as you'd expect; with beautiful white falls where vintage portraits and eclectic clusters of art hang neatly. This account is like decoration therapy for the interiors obsessed.

If you love cascading ceilings, lush gardens, and warm organic furniture, you better head on over to Ed Hansen's account to get an insider look at his idyllic farmhouse. Prepare yourself for maximum levels of chic country inspiration. If you can't get enough of Ed's impeccable taste, we were lucky enough to visit Ed's inner-city apartment in our Makers Series.

Temple Farmhouse is located within the rolling hills of Byron Bay on NSW's northern coastline and boasts a sprawling area of seventy-five acres to enjoy. The best part? Remaining in the state but making our way down south, this Gerringong beauty is simply breathtaking and brimming with decades of history. Inside, the farmhouse has been tastefully restored and updated in a sleek, monochrome aesthetic and includes a sparkling swimming pool with green views as far as the eye can see.

If French-style farmhouses are more your thing, then Lisa Danielle's newly renovated home in the Byron Bay Hinterland will be right up your alley. The queen of rustic farmhouse style herself and member of our Makers club, Marnie's home in the Macedon Ranges is like something out of a storybook. Complete with a white picket fence, rose garden, and resident chooks, this photographer's farmhouse is where we turn for interior inspiration.

Producers of beautiful, handmade paint for the home, Atelier Ellis also happen to have one of the most picture-perfect rustic homes in the UK that we regularly scroll through to transport ourselves to the dusk-toned farmhouse. Every image posted to their feed is a work of art that could be studied for hours, where interesting colour combinations, secondhand finds and striking patterns combine.
