The Perfect Tablescape for You, According to Your Star Sign
While we’ve previously shared advice on how to create the most ‘Instagrammable’ tablescape, perfecting this skill can still be difficult to master.
But if you’ve scoured the Internet for more advice and you’re still unsure of where to begin, may we suggest looking towards your star sign?
Interestingly, the stars can help make your decision with what coloured tablecloths, napkins, placements, plates and accessories you should invest in that will not only impress you, but also your guests. So, we’ve curated the ultimate guide on how to style the perfect tablescape for you, according to your star sign.

Your Tablescape Style, According to Your Star Sign
Aries (March 21st - April 19th)
As the fiery leaders of the pack, you’re passionate, motivated and a confident leader who is constantly seeking challenges. You strive for perfection with every table you set.
Your tablescaping style should reflect your bold but detailed personality - think: red tones, bright patterns, our Scalloped Placements in Terracotta and Rust, and mismatched dinnerware. You don’t want to go overboard with additional styling elements (you are a perfectionist, remember), so keep things casual and minimal when it comes to flowers and candles.
Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)
You love nothing more than relaxing and soothing environments, and calming colours.
A natural palette of fresh white and green hues paired with oversized bunches of greenery is the perfect blend for you. Try our White tablecloth with Sage Placements and Olive Napkins. For a finishing touch, add a large bowl of vibrant green fruits.
Gemini (May 21st - June 20th)
Geminis are known for their high energy, and flirtatious and vibrant personality, and this should be accurately reflected in the way you style any table.
Embrace your boisterous side by starting with a pale Terracotta tablecloth, then go bold with accessories - go for plates with colourful patterns, Scalloped Napkins in Pink Clay and Turmeric, and citrus fruits placed in various places around the table.
Cancer (June 21st - July 22nd)
Cancers are sensitive and caring, and are highly emotional. They’re in their element when they’re in the kitchen cooking food for family and friends, so although introverts, entertaining for others brings them joy.
For a Cancer table, a fresh coastal vibe will please your senses. Opt for pastel yellows, dreamy bunches of roses, a touch of blue with White and Mineral Scalloped Napkins, and fruit like figs, peaches and lemons for decoration.
Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
Fiery Leos are known to be confident, ambitious and love being the centre of attention. When it comes to table settings, Leos know no bounds.
If you’re born under this sign, bring your tablescape to life with warm colours like red, pink, orange and yellow, clash prints with patterned tableware, and thrown in bunches of orchids and an abundance of bright fruits like berries and cut papaya. Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
Virgos are perfectionists, organised and practical, and this translates directly into their perfect tablescape. You can pull off an all-white table setting with classic glassware and white plates, or if you’re feeling a little adventurous, jazz it up with Oatmeal napkins. It’s minimal but has maximum effect.
Libra (September 23rd - October 22nd)
Although Libras have a relaxed personality, there’s nothing more they love than balance. When it comes to tablescaping, steer clear of mismatched dining ware and instead keep things consistent. Start with a tablecloth in White or Sage, then layer this with intricately detailed plates, gold cutlery, bunches of fresh pink peonies and a few candles.
Scorpio (October 23rd - November 21st)
This passionate yet stubborn water sign is represented by the powerful scorpion, which isn’t afraid to be intense and sometimes guarded. But even though they have a tough exterior, once you pass their test, they’re extremely loyal and loving.
To reflect this dual personality, a monochromatic tablescaping scheme will tick all the right boxes. White linens, black plates and matte black cutlery is chic but edgy. Avoid extravagant florals and fancy accessories, and instead keep things bold and straightforward with a loaf of crusty sourdough and a bottle of your best red.
Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
You’re an ever-present wanderlust with an adventurous spirit and an enthusiasm for life.
Your lucky colour is purple so channel your Sagittarius energy with a tablecloth, napkins and placements in Lavender. Then, go big and bold with expressive Bittosi Home dinnerware, exotic fruits and vegetables, and an abundance of dishes from around the world.
Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
Capricorns often get a bad rep because they’re the most responsible, hardworking and serious of all the zodiac signs. However, this makes them an extremely loyal and trustworthy friend, partner or family member. It also means they’re quite successful because they stay true to their goals.
Opt for a dual-toned table setting - White and Mineral make for a perfect combo, which plays to a Capricorn’s practical nature while also being playful. Stick to simplicity with glassware and cutlery, and add levels to your table with a plate of biscuits and a centrepiece ceramic vase like our Iggy and Lou Lou Amphora Vase in White Sand.
Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
This water-bearer zodiac sign is the most quirky of all the air signs, so when it comes to their tablescaping style, they love anything that’s unconventional - a patterned tablecloth, Scalloped placemats, mismatched ceramics and coloured glassware will do the trick. The more artsy and unconventional, the better.
Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
You’re a compassionate and romantic daydreamer who often gets lost in their dream world. You’re deeply creative, have a rich affinity for the arts and are incredibly easy-going. Entertaining doesn’t stress you out, and when it comes to setting the table, you simply go with the flow with how you’re feeling.
In saying that, you’ll want to stick to a simple Oatmeal tablecloth, as you’ll more than likely be using your wide selection of random plates and crockery you have in your cupboards. Skip the flowers and instead fill your table with small ceramics, a Sophie Lou Jacobsen Wave Pitcher, citrus fruits and twisted candles (here’s a full guide on how to make these yourself).
