1. Swap to linen

3. Skip the heavy throws

As much as we live for a beautiful throw, when the forecast reads scorching, there’s no place for a heavy blanket on your bed. If you prefer to have at least one other layer aside from your duvet or comforter, invest in a lightweight quilt or linen throw to add a finishing touch.

5. Minimise your layers

This one’s a bit obvious but it’s worth giving a callout – if you're finding yourself overheating throughout the night, scale down the bedding layers. You can fold your duvet in half and sleep with just the top sheet at night, or even minimise the number of pillows you sleep with. Ultimately, the less you have on your body the cooler you’ll be. 6. Keep It loose

If you’re big on tucking the sheets tightly into the bed frame, you might want to reconsider.
