So you've finished decorating your place and you're finally ready to show off your styling skills to your circle. It's always nice to provide a space in your home for friends and family to stay, but there is a sense of responsibility to make their stay as memorable and pleasant as possible.

If you're lucky enough to have space at your place for guests, take a look at the following list of decorating hacks to turn your guest bedroom into a five-star retreat in a few easy steps. You might even be able to rent it out on Airbnb to make a few extra dollars.

1. Curate an essentials basket

Putting together a little basket with products and items that will be helpful to your guest is the best way to make a great impression. How many times have you forgotten to bring your toothbrush with you on a trip? Travel-sized hygiene essentials as well as matches, a candle, and a stack of fresh towels go a long way to creating a cosy environment.

2. Don't forget extra blankets!
