Stream These '90s TV Shows to Feed Your Nostalgia

Even if you're not a '90s kid, you'll surely agree that '90s entertainment makes for perfect comfort food. It's the decade that created some of the best romantic comedies ever, and the era of prime time TV before streaming brought entire back catalogues to our fingertips.

From half-hour sitcoms to hour-long serials, here are just seven of the best '90s TV shows available to stream right now.

The Nanny

The style! The flair! Fran Fine is as relevant today than she was when The Nanny first aired its six glorious seasons between 1993 and 1999. Fran Drescher's portrayal of the fish-out-of-water Flushing, Queens door-to-door make-up salesperson is as iconic as the costumes she wore. Not convinced? Follow @whatfranwore on Instagram.

Charmed

This supernatural fantasy is an important segment of pop culture's witch obsession. Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty play sisters who are also witches. At some point, Doherty left and Rose McGowan upped the show's energy instantly.

Friends

Friends is like a time capsule and is best appreciated for its silliness, as well as the comedic performances of its six leads. There's a sweet spot if you're looking to binge just a few seasons—start in season four and stop after seven and you'll get the best of the show's writing and the most laughs.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Sarah Michelle Gellar is Buffy, a California high schooler who discovers she's been chosen by fate to be the slayer of vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. Academics have done PhDs on this seminal text, and yet it is irresistibly fun to watch (and rewatch), with incredible '90s fashion and iconic lines that will quickly become part of your vocabulary.

Seinfeld

This show about nothing has given us so much over the years, and Julia Louis Dreyfus's Elaine Benes is a perennial style icon.

Dawson's Creek

If you haven't revisited Dawson and the gang since your first viewing, or are too young to remember it, you'll be blown away by this series' high-'90s aesthetic.

Twin Peaks

The original and the best. David Lynch's short-lived Twin Peaks TV series has been iconic since it aired in 1990 and 1991. Once you've let this confusing but brilliant piece of art wash over you, give the 2017 revival a go.

Frasier

A bit of a curveball, Frasier is actually surprisingly comforting to watch in 2020—if you can quiet Kelsey Grammar's appearances on RHOBH from your mind. The golden hues and jazzy theme song will feel like tossed salads and scrambled eggs, whatever that means. Mercy!
