Who is in the cast for Squid Game, Season two?
The official cast names were announced on June 18th 2023. A few characters from season one will make their return for the next season including protagonist Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun), and police detective Hwang Jun ho (played by Wi Ha-joon). South Korean singer Im Si-wan, K-drama star Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun are set to join the cast as new Squid Game "players".

An insider from Netflix reportedly told The Hankyoreh newspaper on June 19th: "We cannot disclose at this time whether female actors will appear in season two of Squid Game. Further casting details will be revealed soon."
The ending of season one had us on the edge of our seats. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyukuk shared how season two will be a natural evolution from the concluding events of the first season.
So far, we know that season two will follow Seong Gi-Hun sporting a new red hairstyle, and for whom the game isn’t over. "I can’t share any details yet, but you know that Seong Gi-hun has become a totally new person by the end of season one, so season two is going to be about what that new Gi-hun is going to do and how things will unfold with this new kind of character," Dong-hyukuk explains.
We're interested to see what the trauma and the impact of the games have on his psyche. Will he return as a player to take down the games from the inside OR will he return as a guard? If there's one thing we learnt from season one, it's to expect the unexpected.
