We're still finding it hard to wrap our heads around the fact that we're a month away from the new year. A month away from resetting goals, a month away from starting fresh, and a month away from witnessing an array of new interior design trends steadily making their way into our homes.

From glistening chrome pieces to geometric patterns that nod to the past, the decor trend forecast for 2024 has already proven interior design choices in the new year are far from ephemeral fads.

Whether you're looking to spruce up your living space, or just keen to learn what's deemed 'hot' for next year, ahead are 15 trending decor pieces you'll see everywhere in 2024.

1. Chrome

Gold finishes have dominated the interior design scene for the last few years, but 2024 will see chrome become the finish du jour. Popularised in the 1950s during mid-century modern’s inception, chrome decor pieces will be having a well overdue resurgence in 2024 in the form of coffee tables, lamps, and smaller pieces such as trays, coasters, and cups.

How to style it:
Because it reflects the surroundings, chrome pairs beautifully with almost every colour (especially green!) and material, making it easy to style in your space.
