Everyone Will be Talking About These 11 Emerging Artists in 2024
Prepare to be captivated by a wave of fresh artistic talent.
Discovering a new artist can feel a little bit like falling in love.
Whether you’re hanging a framed print in your first ‘grown up’ apartment, furnishing your dream kitchen with artist-designed serveware, or investing in a painting you’ll cherish for years to come, artworks are among the more sentimental purchases of our lives. Unlike couches or benchtops – or even bed linen – art is one of the rare things we buy entirely for its beauty.
That’s why, at Bed Threads, we love discovering new and emerging artists who are making waves around the world. Who, through colour, shape, form and texture, make us feel something, and bring the spaces they decorate to life.
If you’re looking for something to adorn your walls, hunting for a gift for a friend, or just love to support emerging and talented young artists, these brilliant creatives should be on your watch list.

Gabrielle Diamantis
Working from a dreamy beachside studio on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, painter Gabrielle Diamantis creates lively works that celebrate sun-kissed Australian summers. Equal parts modern and nostalgic, her work evokes memories of hot feet and cold icy-poles, faded deck chairs in the sun. If her current work is anything to go by, we just know she has an incredible future ahead of her.

Idda Studio
New York-based artist, textile designer and ceramicist Gabriella Picone is certainly one to watch. After studying at the Rhode Island School of Design and working in some of the world’s most famous art galleries including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Gabriella founded her own business, Idda Studio, where she creates breathtaking paintings, ceramics and textiles. “With Idda Studio, I wanted to bring the unique handmade quality of painting to functional objects for the home," she shared with Bed Threads Journal last year. Inspired by her Sicilian roots and the women in her family, Gabriella’s work is an ode to colour, joy and the beauty of the female form.
