Want ‘The White Lotus’ Experience? Here Are All The Season 4 Locations to Visit (So Far)

This might be its most decadent setting yet.

Between Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand, the first three seasons of White Lotus delivered some stellar armchair escapism (you know, with a side of murder).

Fittingly, season four of the HBO anthology series about the exploits of the wealthy guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort is set to be no exception. In fact, the Emmy-winning dramedy’s latest location is being touted as its most opulent yet: a 19th-century palace-turned-luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera.

With filming for the new edition poised to kick off in April 2026, keep reading for everything we know about White Lotus season four’s filming locations (so far).

Château de La Messardière, Saint-Tropez

While White Lotus seasons one to three took place at Four Seasons hotels, the upcoming installment breaks from tradition, unfolding at Château de La Messardière, an ultra-exclusive Airelles Collection resort in Saint-Tropez on France’s Côte d’Azur. Per an exclusive report by Variety, the stunning château sits on a sweeping 13 hectares of “parasol pines, cypress trees, and jasmine,” surrounded by the Ramatuelle vineyards with views out to the Mediterranean Sea.

One scroll through the website and the château’s Instagram page, and it’s not hard to see how this opulent location has all the right ingredients for White Lotus’ specific brand of “not-so-meet-cutes.” Think: multiple swimming pools primed for questionable characters to cross paths, a private beach club on Saint-Tropez’s upscale Pampelonne Bay, and a decadent 1000 m² spa with an indoor adults-only swimming pool, nine treatment rooms, a hammam, and a sauna. (Place your bets: do we think Belinda will reappear in season four after her season three grand finale?)

The hotel’s lore might also hint at the grandeur we could expect from this upcoming season. According to the Airelles website, the château was originally “a wedding gift from Gabriel Dupuy d’Angeac, a wealthy cognac merchant,” to his daughter Louise and her husband, cavalry officer Henry Brisson de La Messardière. In the Roaring Twenties, it turned into a hotspot for “Gatsby-esque parties” among the Parisian elite.

After changing hands multiple times, it was restored from ruin in 1989, a project helmed by Jean-Claude Rochette, chief architect of France’s Monuments Historiques, before eventually becoming an Airelles Collection hotel in 2019, with further renovations culminating in its grand reopening in 2021.

Today, suites at the Château de La Messardière reportedly start around AU$4,350 to AU$11,600 (and up) per night.

Where else is White Lotus season Four being filmed?

While no other locations have been confirmed at this stage, Variety reports that, as in previous seasons, this one won’t be filmed in a single location, as creator Mike White “is meticulous about crafting unique backdrops that combine different venues.”

The report went on to say that Château de La Messardière “is just one of the several places that will host the HBO production” and that we can expect the story to “unfold along the French Riviera, with some scenes also filmed at a Paris hotel.”
