You'll Be Seeing These 6 Paint Colours Everywhere in 2020

We don't mean to alarm you, but there are literally only three months left of 2019. Like every year before it, this year has flown by, and it's already time to start thinking about the next. Now comes the fun part—predicting all the decor trends we'll be seeing scattered across magazine pages and in our homes over the next twelve months. Each year has its own distinct colour palette in the interior design world, with this year's being warm sunburnt hues that emulated the seemingly endless amount of vacations to the South of Italy we witnessed via Instagram. Looking forward to 2020, these are all the paint colours you'll be seeing everywhere.

Brown
For 2020, brown is the new grey. We predict that warmer tones will continue to dominate the interior design landscape going forward, something we are happy about. Right now, the 70s and midcentury modern design are both experiencing a resurgence which means that brown is in (in a big way).

Sandy beige
A more neutral approach than brown, sandy beige is also a new twist on the old favourite, grey. It's super versatile and lends itself nicely to the timber and rattan trend that we don't see subsiding any time soon. Balance the warm tones with accents of cool grey and white.

Khaki
The colour green is said to make us feel relaxed and connected to nature. For 2020, khaki is a beautiful green tone that perfectly represents the desire to create a haven at home to escape the daily bustle. Its soft grey undertones mean that you can team this colour with Scandi furniture or vintage finds with equally successful results.

Royal blue
Here's a really fun one that'll provide you with an instant eye-catching feature. This bright blue hue can go one of two ways—opulent or casual. As witnessed below, it's a great backdrop to display a gallery wall and everything you place around the colour automatically pops.

Peach
We all remember how millennial pink dominated our feeds in 2017 (and occasionally still). Well, we're here to introduce the grown-up version for the new year, peach! Warmer, richer, and more versatile, we can see peach being used in literally any room of the house. Peach laundry anyone?

Blue-grey
By now, we've seen every iteration of grey used—from warm to cool and everything in between. Or so we thought. Welcoming blue-grey to the 2020 paint colour lineup, a fresh and revitalising tone that can't help but make you feel relaxed. We imagine this colour will be popular in bedrooms particularly, as the colour blue is known to help us unwind and drift off to sleep at night.
